The East Arkansas Regional Unit is an Arkansas Department of Correction prison in Brickeys, unincorporated Lee County, Arkansas. It is about 17 miles (27 km) southeast of Forrest City.[1]
East Arkansas is one of the state of Arkansas's "parent unit"s for male prisoners; it serves as one of several units of initial assignment for processed male prisoners.[2] 2,500 acres (1,000 ha) at the unit are devoted to the farming of cotton, soybeans, and wheat.[3]
